Hi everyone and welcome
back to another video. In today's video I'm going
to be sharing with you, specifically during the time
of this economic shutdown and kind of the whole world is on pause, how do you go about making money online? And from my years of experience, what are my best tips for you? For those of you who
are new to the channel, my name is Greg, and I like to make videos
about online entrepreneurship and share the tips and resources that I wish I had along my journey. So for those of you interested
in making money online, feel free to look around the channel and consider subscribing. Now in today's video, I'm going to break down
five different categories of ways to make money online, go through each of those categories and show you the best ways within them, and then share with you
really helpful resources and even tips that you should use and things you should avoid so you don't make mistakes as you're going through this process. Now for those of you who stick around to the end of this video, I'm also going to put in a bonus way that is probably one of the easiest ways to make money online. The only catch to this one is that it's not currently available in all countries and regions. Now, I'll get to that
at the end of this video but stick around for that, this is going to be a
really helpful video. Now before we get into
these five categories and start breaking them down there's a couple of things
that we need to discuss for everyone who wants
to make money online that you need to know before we can even get
into the different methods. Now the very first thing is
a disclaimer for everyone and that is just that if
you haven't found out yet, there are no get-rich-quick ways, there are no shortcuts or no secrets. Now, for those of you who have been making
money online for a while, you guys already know this, but this is for those of you who are new to making money online. If you see something that
offers get-rich-quick or promises you to get results, just know that those are people out there trying to take advantage
of you in an unethical way while you're in the
beginning of this journey. So first things first,
be cautious of scams and don't go into this
thinking that you need to spend a lot of money to get started. Now another big thing before we get into these five categories is that speaking of money, yes, you may need to spend money. After watching this video, you'll see all the different
ways to make money online and you'll be able to see
what fits best for you. Now the way that you choose
that fits best for you that you wanna start with may
come with some requirements. For example, you may
need to have a website where you'll have to pay for hosting, you may need to buy a paid tool in order to do something a certain way, et cetera, et cetera. But go into this knowing that even if you do have to
spend an amount of money, whether that's small or a little
bit larger to get started, this is an investment in your business. The biggest word of caution
I can give you though is don't go in thinking that
you need to buy $1,000 course or anything crazy
expensive to get started. Every way that you see here
should be extremely low cost and you just need the bare
minimums to get started and start making money online. Now I promise just two more quick things before we start breaking
down these five categories. First being, there's a link to a video down in the description that links to another
video on this channel covering in detail 10 of
the worst online businesses for beginners to start. I'm going to briefly touch
on this in this video, but if you want more details on what businesses you should
not be starting as a beginner, that video is going to be
extremely helpful for you. So if you get anything from this video, I highly recommend at least
watching that after this so you can save yourself a lot of time, effort, and probably money down the road. Now the last thing before we
get into these five categories is why should you guys be listening to me. If you have been searching on the internet for how to make money online, you will find that there
are no shortage of people telling you their best
advice on how to get started. What I bring to the table for you guys is truth, honesty, and experience. I've been doing this for
the last four to five years, and I've been making a full-time income, six figures, multi six figures, and close to seven figures
now, completely online. All of these videos that you find on this YouTube channel
are completely free, you will never have to purchase a course and I just wanna share the helpful information with you guys completely free of charge. So hopefully you can find some value from not only this video, but the other videos on the channel. Now with all that being said, we should now be on the same page. And now let's break
down the five categories of different ways to make money online, especially right now when the whole world is practically on pause. So the very first way
that you're going to see as you start doing some research is paid online surveys or
similar things like that. Now essentially what these are is you make an account on a website. There's many websites that offer this and you basically go through
and just answer surveys. Now each survey that you answer is going to offer you a certain bounty which is typically about
50 cents or $1 per survey. When you answer these surveys, you're basically putting
in your demographics and your interests on
what you like to purchase. And that either goes directly or is sold to major companies
looking for that information to further refine their marketing and their product development
for their company. Those companies are willing
to pay for that information, and these websites are
basically the brokers for giving that information to them. Now the sole reason that
I'm including these surveys and other things similar in this list is because as you start doing research, you are bound to see them
in the search results. Now, I wanna be very clear, I do not recommend doing these, they take a lot of time, and at the end of the day, it's not going to be worth your time for how much money that you make. As you will likely see if
you start doing some searches for how much money you
can make with these, there are some YouTubers out there who have made great videos showing a full day spent answering surveys and how much real money they earned. All in all, I don't
recommend you do paid surveys or anything similar like that, I just wanted to include it in this video for informational purposes, so when you do see them, you
know what they're all about. Number two, the second category
is online gig-based work. Now this is actually a great option for making money online, especially in the current environment that we're in right now, if you're curious about what these are, you can go to a website called
fiverr.com, or upwork.com. Those are the two biggest marketplaces, and you can browse through their website. As you're browsing
through their marketplace, you will see the different types of services that people offer, and you can even use that to brainstorm. See if any of those skills or
services that you see on there are things that you know,
and you could offer. Now further, if it's something
that you kind of know or you're pretty good at, feel free to go over to YouTube and practice your skill even more, and then you could consider
going back to these websites, creating a profile and
offering that service yourself. Now personally, I have been
both a seller of services and a buyer of services
for multiple years now, and there are definitely some major tips that I can pass on to you, if you're considering
being a seller of services. The first tip is to build up a strong portfolio to put on your profile. When a buyer is going through and comparing who they wanna hire, they're looking at the type
of work that you've done. Although everyone's bio may look great, the buyer really wants
to go into your profile and see the work that you've done because they know what
they want in their mind. And if you've done something similar or at their standards, they can see with a real life example that you're capable of
doing what they want. The second big tip is to make sure that you have competitive prices. Go on the marketplace and
look at the other sellers and make sure that you're
priced competitively. When a buyer is going through and they are comparing
all the different sellers, the ones that are way too high, typically just get discarded. For a lot of buyers, if your
price is on the higher end, you're just going to
be out of their budget, and they can't hire you
even if they wanted to. On the other end of the spectrum, the sellers that have really low prices are probably also not going to get hired because buyers have the mentality that their quality is going to
be the same as their prices. The third biggest tip I can give you if you're going to be a seller on this online gig environment, is to make sure that you're
actually applying for requests. On these marketplaces, a buyer can go in and
they can submit a request, which then notifies all of the sellers that sell that service, and those sellers can take
advantage of this opportunity by applying to that request and submitting a personal proposal. Now the last big tip that I can offer comes during this proposal. If you are a seller and you see a request, apply to that request,
say that you have read exactly what they're looking for, you understand it, you're capable, now there's two parts here, if you were able to include
a link to a real example that you've done in the
past that is very similar to what that buyer is looking for, make sure that you include
a link to that example, and then further, if it makes sense for that service that you're
offering, include a free trial. This has got to be by far the
biggest tip I can give you, and here's the reasoning why, when a buyer on one of these platforms is comparing all of the different sellers, it is at no risk to that buyer, if a seller is offering a free
trial to take advantage of it and see what kind of
work that seller can do. Now if you're the seller
offering that free trial and you do the free trial really well and you do exactly what
the buyer is looking for, you are very likely to be hired over all of the other sellers. Now again, just make
sure that a free trial makes sense for that service
that you're offering. It doesn't work for all of
them, but if it works for yours, that is a huge tip that
I can recommend for you. Now the third category for different ways that you can make money online, especially right now, is remote jobs. This is an excellent opportunity and although remote jobs seems very similar to
online gig-based work, they are different. Now both of them are
going to be online-based, however, a remote job is
going to be more stable, in that essentially, you're being hired by a company to fill a position, as opposed to online gig-based jobs where you're basically just
doing one job for a client, moving on to the next client,
doing one job for them, and being hired here and there. Now, just know that a remote
job is an excellent job, especially for now because
you can just work from home or really anywhere that
you are that's safe. However, with the current situation, it is going to be generally harder to get hired for a remote job. The reason for this is that
there is a lot more competition, a lot of people are
filing for unemployment, so they're looking for more jobs. And a remote job offers them
the freedom to work from home, which is a perfect fit right now. And the second reason that it's going to be generally a little bit harder right now is because most companies
are not hiring new people. A lot of these companies are downsizing, and actually decreasing
the size of their staff. However, the benefit here is that the companies that are bringing on new members of their staff
are doing this remotely. Now I've found that the best way to find remote jobs is simply on Google. You'll find that once you search
in looking for remote jobs, different types or different skills, you're going to see a
bunch of different websites that offer kind of a marketplace, and then additionally, just on Google, Google offers different job listings, so you can browse directly on Google. Now if you can get hired for a remote job, this is going to be
generally stable income, but it doesn't mean it's
going to be more income than online gig-based work. Although you may have
more stable paychecks and more stable work,
it does not guarantee that overall you will make more money when compared to doing gigs. Now the fourth category
for making money online is starting your own online business. This is by far my absolute favorite one for quite a few reasons,
but just know that there are great online
businesses out there to start. There are also very bad online businesses that you can start. So make sure that if
you're going into this, you're spending time to choose wisely on which online business you
are starting for yourself. Now this category of online business is probably going to be the hardest one to actually start and grow, and potentially the longest one until you start earning money, but I can definitely say it
will be the most rewarding. Now as I just mentioned, within this category of starting
your own online business, there are good online businesses
and bad online businesses. The reason I say this is because it depends on the fit for you. For those of you who are a beginner, there are some big online businesses that you should definitely be avoiding. Now if you move into an advanced
level on certain skills, those businesses that you
were avoiding as a beginner may become a better fit. So with that said, allow me to elaborate a little bit on some good online businesses and some bad online
businesses for beginners, if you're just going
ahead and getting started. Some of the best online
businesses for beginners especially right now with
the current environment, are one, print on demand, two, affiliate marketing, there's a few ways you can do this, you can have a niche specific
affiliate marketing website, you can make niche
specific YouTube videos, then as a bonus for affiliate marketing you can also make ad revenue from that niche specific affiliate marketing website
and the YouTube videos. Now further, you can create
and sell online courses on online course marketplaces,
teaching a specific skill. And then lastly, another great one is creating and selling
digital downloadable products. Some examples of those could be an ebook, teaching the same content
as that online course, could be creating and
selling a custom Excel sheet that people could download, think along the lines
of creating something where you input your
numbers for your budget and it analyzes it and spits out numbers from an equation that most people wouldn't be able to do themselves. You can create and sell
photo editing presets, think of things that you could just
download from the internet so you don't have to
actively work every time. And lastly, I'll give you another example just to think about, creating and selling a website template, so WordPress or Wix. It can be generally pretty hard to create a custom template
for something specific, so if you can spend the time
creating it, perfecting it, you can sell it to people
and they can download it and skip all that process
of creating it from scratch and they can just buy yours and plug and play and start instantly. So there are so many
other digital products, that just gives you a few, but those are some good online businesses I recommend starting for beginners. Now let's move into some of the bad ones. Now some of these bad ones you will see heavily
advertised and promoted but just be cautious especially
if you are a beginner. The first one is dropshipping, you've probably seen that everywhere but I do not recommend
that for a beginner, the second one is multilevel
marketing or network marketing, the third one is stock trading
specifically forex trading, the fourth one is ClickBank or JVZoo style affiliate marketing, their products are generally not good, so I don't recommend doing that. And then the last one is Amazon
FBA or Fulfilled by Amazon, I just don't think this
one's very beginner friendly, it's very hands on, and given the circumstances right now with the current climate and situation, I don't think it's a good fit because your products go into a warehouse, if they don't sell right away, you're going to pay storage fees, and since they're in Amazon's warehouse, it makes them subject to contamination. So again, I just don't
think this is a good fit especially to start right now. Now, as I mentioned, in the
beginning of this video, I put a video down in the description that covers the 10 worst online businesses for beginners to start, that will cover these
businesses plus a few more and go over in detail of why it's not a good fit for beginners. Additionally, there's another
video down in the description going over that good list, that goes over 10 of the
best online businesses to start for beginners, so feel free to check that one out as well for some more detail. Now before we move on to
the fifth category here, just know that all the online
businesses that I recommend, and I personally do, I have tons of videos
on them on this channel completely for free. Like I said, I've been
doing this for years and I'm sharing all this information with you guys completely for free. So feel free to browse
through the channel, check out all the videos,
learn everything you need to, and even feel free to subscribe so you get notifications of the
new videos as they come out. Now the fifth category here for making money online is interest. Now I know this one kind
of comes with a stipulation where you need to have money to invest in order to make interest. However, if done properly, you're essentially
guaranteed to make money and you don't have to lift a finger. So it's extremely passive, I could make a whole video on this and matter of fact, I do have another video
on this on the channel. However, in short, if
you have money to spare that's just sitting in a
standard savings account, I recommend opening up a high
yield online savings account. There are a ton of different
online banks that do this, they are FDIC insured,
so your money is safe. Just figure out based on
your country or region, which is the best in your area, but you're looking for
an online savings account that acts the same way as your
traditional savings account, but it's online-based,
so there are no branches. But with that comes with
extremely high interest rates, so they're completely free to open, there are no contracts or anything, if you have extra money laying around in a traditional savings account, just move it into an
online savings account and you can collect that
interest every month. Now, as promised in the
beginning of this video, I do have a bonus way which is generally a very easy way to make money online, the only thing is it's
not going to be available in every country or region, and here's what that is, if you go to Ebates.com,
which is now known as Rakuten, you will be able to
see the Ebates program. Now not only do I recommend using Ebates, but I recommend Ebates referral program. If you're not familiar with Ebates, it's basically you create a free account, you put a plug in on your computer, and as you go about your daily activity of buying things online, they are partnered with
thousands of different websites and Ebates actually gives you cashback. So when you buy something,
let's say for $100, if they offered 8% cashback you would get $8 back
into your Ebates account. And then as this builds up Ebates pays you out either direct deposit, I think they even do PayPal
or you can get mailed a check. Now although this is a
great way to make money they also have a referral program. So when you sign up for
your Ebates account, you get a specific link
to share with people. Now all you have to do is share this link with as many people as you can, family members, friends, you can even share it
on Facebook or Twitter, wherever you wanna share it, and whenever someone signs up completely for free using your link, when they then go on
normally buying things online and they spend their first $25 online, you will get $25 put right
into your Ebates account, and they will even get $10
back into their Ebates account, it's a win-win, you both get free money, just for signing up for Ebates, and using it to collect your cashback every time you buy something online. Now given the current state of things, Ebates is actually upping
this to help us all out, and they raised it to $30. So when they spend their first $30 online, you get $30 into your account and they actually get $30
into their account as well. So again, this is not available
in every country or region what I'll do is I'll put a link to this down in the description, I'll actually put my Ebates referral link so if you wanna use that, as you spend money you
will be able to get $10 or currently $30 back into your account. But the way you'll find out is once you use that link and you sign up if it says Ebates is not yet available in your country or region, you just have to wait until it is, it will send you an email
to notify you when it is, and then you can start referring people. But with that said that is a very easy way you don't need any skill and you can just share this link with as many people as possible and as they start spending money online, you will see the referral commissions start to come into your account. So guys, that is it for this video. Hopefully this has been helpful. If you have any questions
on any of these things, feel free to leave them in a comment and I will get back to
you as fast as I can and help you out and get you the answer. I'll link up a couple
of those helpful videos with the 10 best businesses and the 10 worst businesses, hopefully that'll be
helpful for you as well. But I hope you guys enjoyed this video and I'll be seeing you
guys all in the next one.

bunch of different websites that offer kind of a marketplace, and then additionally, just on Google, Google offers different job listings, so you can browse directly on Google.
